The Photo-Man appears before Ness for the first time.

The Photo-Man^[1] is a character in EarthBound. He appears at various points throughout the game, taking pictures of Ness and his companions to preserve their memories of their adventure. When Ness walks onto a set area, the Photo-Man will gracefully fall down to take a picture, saying "Pictures taken instantaneously! I'm a photographic genius if I do say so myself!" Instead of the commonly used "Say, cheese!", the Photo-Man exclaims, "Say... fuzzy pickles!". At the end of the game after bringing Paula home, when Ness arrives at his home, his mother will tell him that a man dropped by a photo album. During the credits sequence, the player can see all of the photographs taken by the Photo-Man.
