I have a feeling I might need to figure out a different method of putting the Japanese in there, since outside of Mother 3, the translations for things aren't always the same as what ended up going in the English game. Also wondering if I should even include Flint/Salsa in the bracelets that they can't equip without hacking...? They can equip it, but not "legally". Hrm. Also thinking of adding locations somehow? →Tinā ♫δ 13:26, 26 May 2011 (MDT)
- I wouldn't put it in personally, the only person that would need to know Flint or Salsa could equip it would be someone doing a Flint only run or something... Also, for the Japanese portion, a line break would probably work out nice... Multus 13:33, 26 May 2011 (MDT)
- tbh I like our current system decently well, because while it isn't overly fancy it is streamlined. Miles (talk) 13:41, 26 May 2011 (MDT)
- Hmm, well one issue I have with the current lists is that while I was proofreading it for mistakes, sometimes I'd look at one item and then when looking to the right for all that info, I'd accidentally read the wrong number. The more fancy lists are much more readable. Any listing looks great with a border, if only for readability's sake. :P Multus 13:47, 26 May 2011 (MDT)
- The current list system we use with the very simplified tables I've always meant to replace eventually. It works, but it could definitely look much better. It can be difficult to make pretty lists and not have them be cumbersome
guys, though. I'll tweak around later and see what I can do. →Tinā ♫δ 15:02, 26 May 2011 (MDT)

Opinions
- On the tabber'd navbox up there? It's a step up from the one we have right now, but I'm still kinda iffy on it for something I can't put my finger on. Any other opinions? →Tinā ♫δ 19:19, 24 August 2011 (EDT)
- I don't like it. For starters, the template wouldn't link to actual place articles. Miles (talk) 20:00, 24 August 2011 (EDT)
- Does the template need links to the locations? I mean, it's called "Enemies in EarthBound", not "Locations and Enemies in EarthBound". Tacopill 16:30, 31 August 2011 (EDT).
- Thing is, links to locations would make things a bit easier. It's main purpose is to list enemies, yes, but it's also fairly convenient to access location pages from there too. →Tinā ♫δ 16:44, 31 August 2011 (EDT)
- It looks soooo pretty, though... Heheh... Anyway, yeah, linking directly to the locations is incredibly useful, especially when doing something like JP translations... I can jump from page to page so much easier... so I'm gonna have to say no :/ Now if only we can tab M3 enemy sprites, I'd approve that in an instant!! Multus 22:55, 31 August 2011 (EDT)

After seeing this, this, and the tabber'd EB location navbox here in the sandbox, I decided to try out tabbing the M3 enemy front/back sprites. That pinkish infobox-like thing on the right is what happened as a result. It still needs revison (that's why it's here!) and I'd like some help on the following points:
- Most enemies have alt sprites, and many that don't have ones normally available (mostly bosses) just have them hidden in the coding. Problem is, some really don't have alt sprites(plus most of those glitch enemies). These are gonna need new variables to prevent them from having an extra tab for no reason.
- Aesthetics. IMO, the tabber and the roundied, color-schemed infobox don't look great together. Who's up for some CSS? Not me...
- If you're wondering why I assigned variables to the tabs and captions, it's because they aren't always front/back sprites.
That's about it, I think. AquaAzure 05:15, 28 February 2012 (EST)
- It's a great start, Aqua. Obviously the tabber section needs to better mesh with the aesthetics of the infobox, yes.
- As for the issue of some enemies not having an alternate sprite, would it be simpler to have a no-alt-sprite version of the infobox altogether separate? Miles (talk) 07:07, 28 February 2012 (EST)
- I should've done this hours ago, but I needed to sleep after staying up all night reading MediaWiki help pages o_O. Anyway, I don't think seperate templates are necessary. I think what I just did with parser functions should cover all the enemies with one template, and it defaults to the single-sprite layout, so we could add it to the template without having to immediately change every enemy page to prevent them from looking weird...I think...So, all that's left is CSSing the tabber to not look ugly? AquaAzure 15:14, 28 February 2012 (EST)
- That would be great... the only thing is actually doing that... Miles (talk) 23:54, 28 February 2012 (EST)
- Umm...don't look at me! I can't write CSS, not to mention the fact that I don't know where the CSS file in question (mentioned on the MediaWiki extension's page here) is. So, this seems to be something either Tina or Tacopill is gonna have to do. AquaAzure 00:42, 29 February 2012 (EST)
- I actually don't have server access, and I barely know any CSS. Soooo... dang. Also for some reason the tabs aren't loading for me. I'm... not sure why. →Tinā ♫δ 12:25, 1 March 2012 (EST)
- @Tina Thanks for checking this out. If you can't see the tabs, that means my coding worked! Originally (look here) the tabs were always visible, but then I added some stuff that defaults the template to the one-sprite display, and only does two-sprite if you specify a second image. This way, the template could be implemented now without the enemy pages not yet set to handle the new stuff looking weird...Did that make sense?
- @Tacopill (hope you're reading this) If you can, I'd really appreciate it if you'd do some CSS work on the tabber. I've got no idea what's possible and what's not, but I'm thinking roundy corners and compatibilty with lightcolor/darkcolor color schemes would work nicely with the infobox. Oh, and is there any way to get rid of that outline around the content area of each tab? It's cutting into the template's roundycorners and looking kinda weird. Anyway, please look into this and tell me if it can be done! Thanks! AquaAzure 18:45, 1 March 2012 (EST)
