Bombs are recurring items found throughout the EarthBound series. They are single-use consumable items in each game they appear in. The Super Bomb is an upgraded version of the Bomb.
Usage
In EarthBound Beginnings
Bombs are only usable by Lloyd. They damage all enemies for 50-60 points of damage. It is the item equivallant of PK Fire β. The Super Bomb will instantly defeat all enemies, excluding bosses. Its equivalent is PK Fire Ω.
Bombs are also used by Bombers and Star Miners.
In EarthBound
Bombs are now usable by anyone. Their properties have been changed, as they now damage a single enemy for 45~135 damage with a chance to hit adjacent enemies for 22~67, and the Super bomb damages a single enemy for 135~405, with a chance to hit adjacent enemies for 67~202. Care Free Bombs are capable of using Bombs and Super Bombs.
In Mother 3

In addition to Super Bombs, Mother 3 also introduces four other bombs with differing effects: the Running Bomb, Thunder Bomb, Sprinting Bomb and New Year's Eve Bomb.
