The Item Guy is a character in Mother 3, first appearing in Chapter 4. He is a wandering man that lets Lucas and his party store items for free. His function is similar to Minnie in Mother, and the Escargo Express in EarthBound.

- In the far left center room of Club Titiboo's attic
- Along the highway near the intersection
- In the first room of Thunder Tower
- South of Lydia's house on Snowcap Mountain
- Saturn Valley
- On the Empire Porky Building's first floor
- Under New Pork City after defeating Porky
