Coil Snake is the weakest enemy in EarthBound, being one of the many animals under the control of Giygas. They start appearing very close to the city of Onett, similarly to the other enemies Runaway Dog and Spiteful Crow. Like the other two, Coil Snakes appear in many other areas. Coil Snakes attack Ness primarily by biting him. When defeated, the Coil Snake becomes tame, as with most other animal enemies in this game. A stronger version of this enemy is the Thirsty Coil Snake.
