Lighter is a character in Mother 3. He lives with his son Fuel in a wooden house in Sunshine Forest. Lighter is always seen carrying a piece of lumber on his back. It is said that he had a wife named Coaleen, who died for unknown reasons.
In Chapter 1, Flint and Thomas find Lighter hurt on the ground in the burning Sunshine Forest. After his son is rescued, he is transported to Jackie's Yado Inn to cure his injuries.
On the second chapter he is not seen for most of the chapter, due it taking place at night. The next day, when his son spots Wess and Kumatora unconscious on the lake, he takes them both to Wess' house, so they can recover.
