Wan Sum Dung is a character in Mother 3, being a non-hostile Dung Beetle.

In Chapter 3
Wan Sum Dung can be found by the oasis in the Death Desert. Sadly claiming he is not a true dung beetle, Wan Sum Dung requests that Salsa give him some Dung. He gives the player Experience points in exchange for the dung, with the exact amount depending on the quality of the dung. If it's regular dung, Salsa's party gains 5; exquisitely-aged dung gives 10; legendary dung gives 50. However, while trying to roll the dung, Wan Sum Dung always accidentally drops it into the oasis because he is nervous rolling it, requesting more. Due to the desert being inaccessible after leaving, Wan Sum Dung cannot be seen after Chapter 3.
