Sparrows are a type of bird that commonly appears in Mother 3.
In Mother 3
When spoken to, sparrows give what they call "Sparrow Advice!" teaching the player game-play tips, with their explanations each ending with a sparrow chirp. Each sparrow has a different gameplay tip.
Memo description
"A talkative little sparrow that will teach you street smarts and tell all about the things he has heard and seen on his travels around the world. His big ego is the only fly on his ointment."
Trivia
- When working on the text display of the Mother 3 fan translation, the sparrow was used to test the display routines, due to having a lot of text and long lines.[1]
