The Stray Dog is an enemy in EarthBound Beginnings. As the name implies, it is a dog that seems to have gotten separated from it's owner. It still has a blue color around it's neck, along with having brown fur. These enemies are very common in the game, appearing in several different places throughout America. A Stray Dog also guards Duncan's Factory, and will only let Ninten pass if he has a Pass. However, after presenting it to the dog, the pass is shown to have expired, and Ninten's party is attacked by it.

Trivia
- Several wolf enemies have similar sprites to the Stray Dog, with the only difference being the lack of a collar.
- When the Stray Dog appears at the beginning of combat, it will appear as a wolf with the Stray Dog's palette before quickly shifting to its actual sprite.
