Tom Garrickson is an inhabitant of Youngtown and one of the few adults to be seen there after the abduction of all the grownups in the town. He serves a very minor role, though his child (which only gets referred to as Garrickson baby) contributes with an essential PSI technique known as Teleport, which Ninten and Ana learn simultaneously once Ninten communicates with it using Telepathy.
