The Forgotten Man is a character in EarthBound Beginnings. He blocks the exit to the Magicant Underground, moaning about how his life is meaningless. If Ninten chooses to forget about him, he will disappear. A resident of Magicant informs of Ninten of a man who everyone had forgotten, implying that he was once well known in Magicant.
In the Japanese version of Mother, if Ninten answers his questions incorrectly, he will be warped back at the entrance of the Magicant Underground.
