Carol[1] is the mother of Ninten, Mimmie and Minnie in EarthBound Beginnings. According to their father, she is a very hard worker.[2] She often worries about Ninten, and if he is eating properly.[3] She serves as one of few free healing methods, making his favorite food whenever he visits home.
Carol is unnamed in the game itself, but is christened in the original instruction booklet[1].
Carol's sprite was altered in the localization where her hair is straightened, whereas originally it would point upwards towards the back. The reason for the change is unknown, although it is commonly presumed the original sprite beared resemblance to the Peanuts character Sally Brown.
