Lloyd (alternatively Loid or Roid[1]) is one of the main characters of Mother. He lives in Merrysville and goes to school at Twinkle Elementary School. Although he cannot use PSI, he is skilled at using various mechanical objects and explosives.
In Mother
Lloyd weighs 40kg, is 149cm tall and has blood type AB. Ninten first meets him in Twinkle Elementary School, hiding in a trash can from the other schoolchildren. He is said to be weak and is picked on frequently by other kids. Lloyd joins Ninten on his adventure after Ninten gets him a Bottle Rocket from Sweet's Little Factory. He also clears the path for the train station by detonating a couple rockets from Duncan's Factory, allowing him and Ninten to continue on their journey.
Later, while progressing through the swamp to Ellay, the party briefly meets Lloyd's father hiding in a trash can. Lloyd's father asks for the player's name if they didn't input it on their visit in Snowman.
He leaves the party temporarily in Ellay, being replaced by Teddy on their journey to Mt. Itoi. Lloyd ends up catching up with them on the mountain, however, and manages to rescue everyone in time when they are attacked by a giant robot. He had also borrowed a tank during this time from the man they had met earlier in the Yucca Desert.
