Abbott is a character introduced in Mother and is the assistant of the mayor of Podunk. His only plot-related role is that he gives Ninten the Zoo Key as a reward for saving Pippi from the cemetary. He resides behind a desk at the topmost floor of the City Hall throughout the game.

• Abbott is one of sixteen names which the player can't name the protagonists in the beginning of the game.
