Old Sawbones Benny is a character in Mother. He is a doctor who resides in the hospital of Merrysville, which is named after himself. He is the only doctor in the game who charges half the amount of money Ninten currently is carrying as the price for a treatment. If the amount of money he carries is odd, one dollar will be excluded in the calculation; thus the doctor charges nothing if Ninten carries 0$ or 1$. Revival of an unconscious party member does however always cost $190.
