The Brain Stone is a key item in EarthBound. While intended to prevent loss of concentration, a bug prevents it from serving it's intended purpose, and in fact does nothing.
Usage
The Brain Stone has no effect whatsoever. It was intended to prevent loss of concentration during battle for the party member who has it in their inventory, however a coding mistake results in the code that checks whether or not the party member is carrying the Brain Stone from activating, thus resulting in the item never working in battle.
