Myna birds are a recurring species in the Mother series.
In EarthBound, there is a myna bird located near the beach in Summers. When spoken to, it says a quote randomly selected from the NPCs in Summers and Toto.
In Mother 3, Scamp has a parrot named Myrna that always repeats a line claiming that it is "plenty alive, dagnabbit!" This bird also reappears in Chapter 7 in the Chimera Laboratory, saying the same line of text. Template:Stub-character
