Is it noteworthy to add ambiguity about its pronunciation? There's not only the possibility of it being pronounced like the number one (reflecting the numerical naming of towns) or reflecting its Japanese pronunciation; even in the latter case, it could be pronounced "ONN-et" or "oh-NETT". There's a Roblox developer named Onett of a game I used to play, and most people in that game's community pronounce it "ONN-et" while I pronounce it "oh-NETT". So is this noteworthy?

:In general, no. Pronunciation varies from person to person, even within nintendo (Kamek from Mario is a great case). Unless there was some form of official discrepancy with it, pronunciations are not considered official material to cover and fall outside scope. Pronunciation?

Is it noteworthy to add ambiguity about its pronunciation? There's not only the possibility of it being pronounced like the number one (reflecting the numerical naming of towns) or reflecting its Japanese pronunciation; even in the latter case, it could be pronounced "ONN-et" or "oh-NETT". There's a Roblox developer named Onett of a game I used to play, and most people in that game's community pronounce it "ONN-et" while I pronounce it "oh-NETT". So is this noteworthy? ThighFish (talk) 21:25, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

In general, no. Pronunciation varies from person to person, even within nintendo (Kamek from Mario is a great case). Unless there was some form of official discrepancy with it, pronunciations are not considered official material to cover and fall outside scope. Trig - 01:12, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
