The Red Snake is an enemy introduced in Mother and is visually the same as the Snake except that it now is colored red (which is the only distinguishable feature in its name as well). It has notably higher stats than its earlier counterpart and has slightly higher average stats than the Rattle Snake; one does also gain relatively much experience points from it, though it can be tricky to defeat because of its high defense and ability to run away. It may also leave a Magic Coin once defeated.
