Monkey Tricks are a set of battle abilities unique to Salsa in Mother 3.

  • Apologize: Can solidify an enemy.
  • Make Laugh: Can cause an enemy to cheer, making it waste turns in battle.
  • Dance: Can cause a variety of in-battle effects. Effects include turning an enemy around, raising a random party member's defense, offense or speed, lowering a random enemy's defense, or solidifying an enemy.
  • Monkey Mimic: Imitates an enemy's attack, similar to Poo's Mirror ability in EarthBound. If Salsa is not attacked by a physical attack on the same turn that this is used, it will have no effect.
