The Snake is an enemy which is introduced in Mother. It is one of the earliest enemies which Ninten encounters, as it can found right outside of his house. It resembles an ordinary snake with blue coloring and with its fangs and tongue visible. It does not pose much of a threat, as it doesn't possess any special attacks or abilities; nor is it a good experience source as it only gives two points in total when defeated. However, once defeated, it may occasionally leave a Magic Herb behind.
