Mother: Invasion from the Unknown (Japanese: to be added) is a choose-your-own adventure book released exclusively in Japan based on the plot of EarthBound Beginnings. It was written by Akio Higuchi and loosely follows the plot of the game by the point-of-view of Ninten, renamed Doug in this adaptation, allowing the reader to keep track of their progress, stats, and decide what actions the characters take.
