I like having stuff like this public. Mostly to alert people of what I'm plotting to do next and stuff? I tend to ramble a lot though and props to you if you can pick apart what my point is.

See, look, I'm rambling again. :|

Current focus: Graphics and design.... I think. I can't stay focused very well, but that's what I want to work on. :V

Content expansions

• Mother 1 pages -- had completed an EB0 playthrough recently, and now I can remember all of the random crap from it. Yay.
  • Characters
  • Locations
  • Items
  • Other random things you can think of?
• Japanese Mother 3 names -- not that anyone cares about this except myself! But I care about it quite a bit, so in they go. >:3 It just feels so much more complete with info on the Japanese games. imo. And hell if I know Japanese okayish (ja-2 or so orz) and have played all of the games in Japanese, of course I'll add info!

FUN DESIGN REVISION STUFF YAY.

Now that we're in NIWA, I feel as though making the site not-ugly is a huge priority.

• Start creating more templates
  • Specifics: Fixing up Enemy infobox/M3, fixing the character palette to not suck, reorganizing enemies (oy), and setting up location page outlines
    • Location page outlines will need: A pretty list of enemies and a pretty list of items, template-wise
• A skin! Finally getting to work on this, and getting opinions and ideas from people often.
  • Color scheme: This. Not going to change it! I'm very satisfied with how it looks. (Layout is definitely changing though. Dur!)
  • Motif: This as the background with little planets and stars elsewhere
• Site mascot: LUCAS. Or Claus. :D
  • Okay, fangirling aside, I actually keep playing with the idea of either of them being a mascot of sorts. >_> I mean he is kind of iconic (sorta... he's known, thanks to Brawl), and he could be sorta like Wikipe-tan! Except... not a moe girl. And conveniently both Lucas and Claus match the main WB color scheme! And he's adorable! Okay, maybe I didn't put the fangirling aside for a second there.
  • I would go with Ness or something instead since he's probably more well-known, but I kind of feel like that would be a too obvious choice, or that he's more associated with other sites already (EB Central sprung to mind for a moment there)... hmm.
  • Of course, there's also having no mascot, but... that's no fun! WB should be a fun place! :D
  • SEE LOOK! Adorable! A great mascot! >:V
• Making the item tables not look bland and crappy. This will be hard!
  • Versions: Armor/weapons, recovery, in-battle, misc and key items
• Make a good gallery template. I'm not too fond of the built-in gallery function and how it works as it is, looks aside. Might as well just toss it and make a much nicer and more customizable template. (Plus it could be used for sprites, which look pretty terrible when resized using MediaWiki.)
• Find images for things-- find character sprites, scan in game boxes, and make useless icons for things when I get the chance. I can't get screenshots, though.

tl;dr: It is plainly obvious that my art style is seeping into the wiki. NWHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!

Mother 3 notes

WHOO OKAY! LOLOLOL I got my copy of jp!M3 early. So I guess I'll be working on M1/M3 at the same time? 6_9 I'm kind of just adding misc details to M3 as I go through my game.

Figure I'll keep this up though, because there's still lots to do. Blarrrrrrrr....

  • Chapter synopses
    • Just have the rest of 8 to do... oh wow I've been putting this off for a while. THERE'S A VERY LEGIT REASON AS TO WHY, OKAY.*
  • Locations (descriptive and plot-related things)
    • I have... barely gotten to this! Urgh. Do more. But people have been starting up the pages, so I'll just need to add plot stuff. Eventually. 9_9
  • Items
    • Going to create a page at List of food in Mother 3 (feel as though this page title sounds awkward- think about that later) with a huge list of foods and their respective info (including the Japanese names 8O).

The Backburner

• Mother 3 characters-- I kinda feel like I've put in a lot of the main plot info, and all there is left is just the misc villagers and stuff, so I'm going to move on to more important things.... sorry, residents of Tazmily ;o;
• Mother 2/EarthBound stuff (other people are expanding that anyway)

Site guidelines to implement..??

• Play nice! I have hopes for this place being friendly and open to its editors. I'm frankly tired of looking at places and seeing the staff treat everyone outside of their little circle like they're a pile of crap.
• On translations; For Mother 3 things... I apologize for not really talking to anyone first before going through with this, but I ended up using the fan translations for everything... haha. Although I know that it's not always direct, to make the translation more 'official' sounding, I'd still put the fan translation names in the English fields for templates and in articles, and then use the kana/direct translation for the little (Japanese: ) sections in articles. Did that make sense? I hope it did. See, this is why I don't write policy pages.
• Spruce up policy pages, and make them rather lighthearted and fun. It makes it a lot less of a bore for newcomers to read, and it fits the personality of the Mother series pretty well. Brought this up with other staff, sounded like it was agreed upon. Neat!

I sure do have a lot of work to do, huh.
