Titanic Ant is the first Sanctuary Boss in EarthBound. It guards the first Your Sanctuary location, Giant Step. The Titanic Ant resembles both a Black Antoid and a Gigantic Ant. When it attacks Ness, the Titanic Ant is accompanied by two Black Antoids. Its abilities include a biting attack, Defense Down α, Shield α, and PSI Magnet α. After defeating the Titanic Ant, Ness is free to enter Giant Step and obtain the first part of the melody for the Sound Stone.
