Tenda Village is the home of the Tenda tribe, though a few also appear in the Lost Underworld.  Tenda Village is accessed through Deep Darkness, and has the entrance to Lumine Hall within.  However, due to the Tendas' shyness, the book Overcoming Shyness must be retrieved and shown to the village elder first.
Tenda Village is the home of the Tenda tribe, though some also appear in the Lost Underworld.  Tenda Village is accessed through Deep Darkness, and has the entrance to Lumine Hall within.  However, due to the Tendas' shyness, the book Overcoming Shyness must be retrieved and shown to the village elder first.

The village has a free hotel and hot spring. In the southeast corner is a junkyard  with a telephone and trash can containing a Death ray.

Role in EarthBound
When Ness and his friends first arrive at Tenda Village, all of the Tenda will not speak to him as they are all shy. The only Tendas who will speak are the innkeeper and a Tenda beside the rock covering the entrance to Lumine Hall. The leader of the tribe recalls of a book which can help overcome shyness. Ness retrives the book and lends it to the leader to read to the tribe, resulting un the Tenda have becoming social. The Photo-Man takes Ness's picture, then the leader asks for the player's name. A Tenda nearby will also offer a coffee to the party.

As thanks for helping the Tenda overcome shyness, a Tenda moves the boulder opening the way to Lumine Hall. The Tenda who was once the only social Tenda now feels it no longer stands out as a result.

Shops
After the Tendas become social, one will run a store where items can be obtained by bartering them for Horns of life.
