During the night, Jeff is woken by a telepathic call from [[Paula]], as she and [[Ness]] are in need of his assistance. His roommate [[Tony]] assists him as he tries to leave in the night. They attempt to aquire gear for Jeff to use on the journey, but the lockers are locked, so [[Maxwell]] gives a key to open the lockers. Because the key is bent, it is unable to open the lockers, as such Maxwell provides Jeff with the "Machine that Opens Doors, especially when you have a slightly bad key", being the Bad key machine, which successfully opens the lockers, and is essential for rescuing [[Ness]] and [[Paula]]. After gearing up, Tony then boosts Jeff over the gate in the front of the school. | |||
