The Nintendo 64, often shortened as the N64 is a fifth generation console; Nintendo's third home console. The Nintendo 64 was once going to have an extension known as the Nintendo 64 DD, but it got cancelled in America due to its sales not doing well in regions where it was released. A game known as EarthBound 64 was supposed to be released under the Nintendo 64 DD, but was cancelled. It was eventually moved to the GameBoy Advance and renamed Mother 3. Because of this, no Mother games are on the system. It does, however, boast a Super Smash Bros. game featuring Ness. This was the start of the series, which has had record breaking sales and ratings with its games spanning three systems.

Features

The Nintendo 64 was Nintendo's first four player console. However, due to this, controllers had to be attached to the system. The controllers had three points, a D-Pad, C button, B Button, and A Button. It was Nintendo's first 3D rendering console, displaying 64-bit graphics.
