From here going south leads to another fork, with the path going right taking the player back to the original fork. They arrive at the dig site where excavator [[George Montague]] has been searching for buried gold. Inside the mine, George Montegue explains he is unable continue his excavating due to the five moles posing a threat. Ness explores the gold mine to search for the five Guardian Diggers which are causing problems. They each claim they are the third strongest before they fight Ness, however they all are defeated. Once they are, Ness informs George Montegue that the mine is safe to explore once more, in which he continues his excavation in hopes of finding gold. Instead, he finds a diamond which he then has sent to Ness for a reward. | |||
