:The term may be fanon in origin; however, it still is useful for distinguishing the Lucas/Claus segment that appears at the beginning of the game from the Flint-based Chapter 1. No Chapter in the game switches lead party member after it begins, so it's reasonable to conclude that the Lucas-led section at the beginning is distinct from Chapter 1 on that logic too. ::It's a year late, but I just stumbled across [http://01nintendo.com/famicon/Mother3/prologu.htm this page], which labels as "PROLOGU[E]" the events leading up to the title screen - matching this fan-definition. Looks like the Japanese fans use the same one. Prologue=Chapter 1?
According to a save file saved during the Prologue, it's Chapter 1. If I recall, "prologue" isn't mentioned once. Shayminguy7 14:52, 9 May 2011 (MDT)
- The term may be fanon in origin; however, it still is useful for distinguishing the Lucas/Claus segment that appears at the beginning of the game from the Flint-based Chapter 1. No Chapter in the game switches lead party member after it begins, so it's reasonable to conclude that the Lucas-led section at the beginning is distinct from Chapter 1 on that logic too.
