Back Beat Battle is a battle theme that appears in Mother 3 appearing as the 32th song in the Sound Player. The song is a slow tempo theme with a soft background beat, the melody consists of mainly trumpets. The beat consists of soft percussion instruments that can be difficult to notice at first, however the title hints that listening to the background beat will show how to combo, as the beat actually represents the tempo rather than the tune.

The harder version of the song is named Back Beat Battle - Hard with the differences being the song's speed slowing down by half at certain parts.
