==Usage==

When equipped, coins will increase the wearer's [[Status#Defense|Defense]]. In ''EarthBound Beginnings'' their equipment slot is displayed second from the top in the equipment subscreen on the status screen. They are comparable with the [[Ring]]s of the same game, as they both serve the same defense-raising purpose and they both have their own equipment slots, although the rings generally increase the user's defense with a bit more in terms of value

In ''EarthBound'' they will additionally also raise the wearer's [[Status#Luck|Luck]].
