This is an enemy infobox for Earthbound. Because Mother and Mother 3 have different stats and different ways of handling PSI effectiveness, this template cannot be used for enemies exclusive to those two games.

The parameters in order and in detail:

  • enname = The enemy's name in EarthBound
  • jpkana = Japanese kana in Mother 2
  • jptrans = Japanese translation of the name (not the transliteration! the translation)
  • owupload = Is the overworld sprite for this enemy uploaded? If so, set this to "yes". If not, keep this field in and set it to "no" so it can be easily updated when someone gets around to uploading it.
  • overworld = Their overworld sprite. Just put in the filename and their filetype (filename.type)
  • image = Preferably the in-battle sprite- although for a couple random enemies there is official art, however, that can easily go as a thumbnail in the article itself. Best to keep things consistent with the in-battle sprites.
  • size = If the image needs to be resized, then put a size here (ex: 50px). However, since sprites aren't something that needs resizing often, you can just put a caption or something here instead. It'll just appear when someone hovers over the image.
  • HP = Max amount of HP
  • PP = Max amount of PP
  • offense = Their offense stat
  • defense = Their defense stat
  • speed = Their speed stat
  • guts = Their guts stat
  • fire = The percentage of damage that PK Fire does. So if it's say, 75%, it'll do 75% of the regular damage.
  • freeze = The percentage of damage that PK Freeze does. So if it's say, 75%, it'll do 75% of the regular damage.
  • flash = The chance of PK Flash succeeding.
  • paralysis = The chance of Paralysis succeeding.
  • brainshock = The chance of Brainshock succeeding.
  • hypnosis = The chance of Hypnosis succeeding.
  • exp = The amount of exp. the enemy will give after defeated.
  • money = The amount of money ($) the enemy will give after defeated.
  • multi = Is there multiple forms of this enemy, appearing in different parts of the game? If so, set this to "yes". If not, just omit this entirely.
  • itemdrop = If the enemy can drop a present after battle, put yes here. Otherwise, omit the field entirely.
  • item = If 'itemdrop' is set to 'yes', then specify the item dropped here.
  • itempercent = If 'itemdrop' is set to 'yes', then specify the chance of obtaining the present after battle here. EarthBound determines present chances out of 128, so it'll be ?/128.
  • note = If 'multi' is set to yes, provide a short note here for the instance the item can be obtained in. See Cave Boy for a good example.
  • item2 = If 'multi' is set to yes, put the secondary item here.
  • itempercent2 = If 'multi' is set to yes, put the secondary item percentage here.
  • note2 = If 'multi' is set to yes, provide a short note on the instance the item can be obtained in. Again, Cave Boy is a good example of this.
  • location = Locations in which the enemy appears in. Remember to put in link brackets ([[ ]]) for this! If they appear in more than one location, separate the locations with breaks (<br/>).

Occasionally, enemies will have varying stats between appearances. No problem! Just put in a tt note and separate the different stats with breaks (<br/>). Cave Boy is a good example of this.
