The Hat is a key item found in EarthBound Beginnings. The hat belongs to the girl named Ana, one of Ninten's traveling companions. It is received by an old woman, who is present at the Reindeer Station. She will ask Ninten if he is heading for Snowman when spoken to, as she believes that the hat she has found is the property of a girl there. She will then give him the hat and exit the station.
Usage
The hat belongs to Ana who lives in Snowman. Upon being given the hat, she reveals she saw Ninten in a dream and will join him on his adventure. Ana can be seen wearing it on her overworld sprite after reclaiming it.
