South Cemetery (or simply Cemetery) is a location in Beginnings, which is located to the south of Podunk, past a set of bridges and a forest. It was founded in 1869. The cemetery is surrounded by a brick wall and can only be entered through an opening in the northern part of it. There is also a church located there, which can be seen directly after Ninten has entered the cemetery. Inside the church is a man present, who claims that he wants to stop the zombies, but that he is too scared to leave the building. Ninten goes to the cemetery in search of Pippi, a girl who has mysteriously disappeared. After traversing the graveyard and going through an underground tunnel, Pippi can be found in one of four caskets (while the other three contain PseudoZombis). Directly after talking to her, an opportunity to get the game's first Franklin Badge arises; as she will ask Ninten two questions, which once correctly answered will result in her giving the badge to him.

Overview
The South Cemetery is seemingly a grave site for people who die in Podunk, as well as soldiers killed in action (which take up more than half of the graves). In total, the cemetery contains 131 graves. There is a single church located within the cemetery, along with 3 pillars and a hole leading to an underground room. There are also many trees that seem to separate the eastern and western halves.
Cemetery Church
The Cemetery Church is a building located near the entrance, and houses the only human inhabitant of the cemetery. Inside, there is a priest who claims he wants to stop the zombies, but is too scared to do so.
Underground Room
The Underground Room is a crypt located at the end of the "path" around the cemetery. Inside, there is a hallway leading to an open room with 4 coffins. The bottom left coffin contains Pippi, while the other three initiate encounters with Pseudo Zombies.
South Forest
South Forest is an inaccessible forest that is located in the south and southwest portions of the cemetery. The name likely comes from it's location relative to the South Cemetery.
Geography
The entirety of South Cemetery is somewhat small, being only 3,402 square meters in size. The cemetery itself is surrounded by many natural environments, much like most areas in the game. Notably, areas close to the cemetery are much more lifeless, with nature itself dead around it. To the north and west, there is also a large river. Podunk lies farther north past the river. Reaching the cemetery requires crossing two bridges and heading down through a pathway through the woods.
History
Sometime prior to the events of the game, a girl from Podunk named Pippi got lost in the South Cemetery. The day after she vanished, a youth group from Podunk checked every grave marker in the cemetery, but were unable to discover anything. Soon after, zombies and ghosts began coming to life from the cemetery and attacking Podunk.

Eventually, Ninten reaches the cemetery in order to find the lost girl. After making his way to the underground room deep within the cemetery, he finds Pippi within one of the coffins in the second room. The two of them then leave the cemetery and return to Podunk. The South Cemetery is never required to visit again throughout the course of the game.

After Ninten defeats Giegue, it is presumed that the paranormal events occuring in the cemetery cease.
Items
*Franklin Badge, achieved by answering Pippi's first question with a "no" and her second question with a "yes" by conversing with her at any time when she is present.
