Lier X. Agerate is a character in EarthBound. He is a mysterious man who lives on the mountains in Onett. In his home, he has dug a hole underground to look for treasure. Sometime before the beginning of the game, he finds a mysterious golden statue underground. He shows the statue to Ness after he returns Picky home. It is later revealed that the statue was stolen from him by Mr. Carpainter.
