The Dragon is a boss enemy in Mother that can be encountered in Magicant any time after Ninten first accesses it. It is required to be defeated at some point, as doing so yields the sixth melody. It is depicted as a red, serpent-like creature with a pair of legs and wings, and a tail, but no arms.
The Dragon is a tough enemy, as it can use powerful physical attacks that can fell low-level party members, as well as a crying attack that lowers the defense of one party member. As far as PSI goes, it can use PK Thunder γ, dealing approximately 50 HP of lightning damage to the entire party, and PK Fire β, which cuts about 70 HP from all party members.
Due to the Dragon's attack patterns, PSI-Block and DefenseUp β work very well in the battle. PSI-Block permanently prevents the Dragon from using its area-of-effect PSI, while raising the party's defense softens the impact of its melee attacks. If the player is at a high level, PK Freeze γ reduces its HP to single digits; this can be followed up with any attack for a quick victory.
