Brownie Brown was a video game development studio. Founded on June 30, 2000 by Shinichi Kameoka and Kōji Tsuda, among other former developers of the Mana series, they worked on Mother 3 and other Nintendo specific games. In 2013, the company changed its name to 1-UP Studio as a reflection of its increased ties with Nintendo. Kameoka and Tsuda would leave 1-UP Studio that same year to form a new company called Brownies.
