America features several different geographical features. The majority of the region features grasslands and forests, and also many rivers and lakes. The central parts feature mountains, and to the east is a swamp. The north and south, however, have more distinct features compared to most of America: The northmost part is warm and features a large desert, which is along the coast. In the south, however, it gets colder and snow constantly falls in the southmost parts. Because of these features, the climate varies depending on the area, however most of America's climate is temperate. Compared to [[Eagleland]] in ''[[EarthBound]]'', America appears to be wetter and features more trees and bodies of water. There are many towns and cities, large and small, throughout the region of America, with most of them featured in the west and south.

{{EarthBound Beginnings locations}}

Revision as of 00:16, 26 February 2021

The portion of America used as the setting of Mother.

America (Japanese: アメリカ America) is the setting of EarthBound Beginnings, and is where Ninten and the rest of his friends live. America is the first region featured in the EarthBound series The Map provided in the manual is intentionally inaccurate.

Geography

America features several different geographical features. The majority of the region features grasslands and forests, and also many rivers and lakes. The central parts feature mountains, and to the east is a swamp. The north and south, however, have more distinct features compared to most of America: The northmost part is warm and features a large desert, which is along the coast. In the south, however, it gets colder and snow constantly falls in the southmost parts. Because of these features, the climate varies depending on the area, however most of America's climate is temperate. Compared to Eagleland in EarthBound, America appears to be wetter and features more trees and bodies of water. There are many towns and cities, large and small, throughout the region of America, with most of them featured in the west and south.

America is based on and named after the real-life United States of America. Specifically, the game most likely takes place in Nevada or another southwestern state, considering the geographical features such as Yucca Desert, Mt. Itoi, a swamp and Snowman. Similarly, Eagleland, the setting of EarthBound, is understood to be based off of America as well.
