Argilla Pass is first accessed in [[Chapter 7]] by taking the left path after exiting [[Sunshine Forest]] from the north. The path leads to an empty field before continuing north, which leads to a mountain pass with several branching paths and caves. Taking the left path on the first fork in the road leads to a cave containing a [[hot spring]]. The right path is a winding path which leads to the caves. | |||
The caves start out with an empty room with two paths to take. Going left leads to a bridge across an underground stream, then turns downwards before leading back outside. Back outside is a small cliff with another cave entrance to go back inside. Continuing this way leads to a dead end where the [[Negative Man]] can be fought as an optional boss. | |||

After recieving [[Mixolydia]]'s task to give the Jar of Yummy Pickles to Ionia, Lucas and his friends travel through Argilla Pass to give it to Ionia. On the way to meet Ionia and deliver it, [[Lucas]] drops it, temporarily leaving [[Boney]] as the party leader to find it. There are other items located here as well, but if [[Boney]] finds the pickles first, the other items become unavailable. | |||
At Ionia's house, Lucas gives the pickles to Ionia, who in turn gives the Waters of Time to remove the vines blocking the temple in order to pull the next Needle. On the way there, a [[Mr. Saturn]] shows up to return the newly-polished Courage Badge, now revealed to be a [[Franklin Badge]]. At the Chupichupyoi Temple, the group confront the [[Masked Man]] and the [[Pigmask]]s who are trying to enter the temple. However, the Masked Man is unable to remove vines that are frozen in time. Upon spotting Lucas, he attacks them with lightning, but Lucas's Franklin Badge reflects it back to start a battle. After being defeated, the Masked Man and the Pigmasks retreat, allowing Lucas to use the Waters of Time to remove the vines.
