[[Ninten]] gains access to the zoo once they've saved [[Pippi]] from the [[South Cemetery|cemetery]]. The [[Mr. Mayor|mayor]] of Podunk will reward him with the [[Zoo Key]] and $100 after the rescue, while hoping that he will bring the zoo back to order again. When he reaches the entrance of the zoo while carrying the Zoo Key, a monkey will appear and steal it. The monkey uses the key to open the gate of the zoo, while running back into the zoo, thus making it enterable.

The zoo consists of eleven boundary fences, a few flowerbeds and symmetrically placed trees. Animals that can be found within the zoo includes bunnies, pandas, monkeys and flamingos. The zoo follows a snake-like pattern, which must be followed to get to the Superintendent's Office which lies to the east within the zoo. A singing monkey will appear within the most northeastern fence after [[Starman Jr.]] is defeated and will sing the third melody.
