Belch's Base |
Master Belch is an employ of Giygas and a minor antagonist in EarthBound and the boss of his base. Despite his gross appearance, Belch is the individual responsible for the kidnappings of several Mr. Saturns and for releasing zombies in Threed, which went on to terrorize the place.[1] His favorite food is Fly Honey, which is obtained by defeating the Boogey Tent. Once this item is used in battle against Belch, he will proceed to eat it instead of fight, making him rather easy to defeat. It is not required to use the Fly Honey, however. Doing so opens the way to Milky Well back through Saturn Valley.
Master Belch later re-appears as a boss in Deep Darkness, having renamed himself Master Barf. That area also includes the Big Pile of Puke enemy, which seems to be a sprite recolor of Master Belch.
He is voiced by Hirozaku Koyano.[2]

EarthBound Player's Guide description
"Belch's weakness for Fly Honey is legendary. After beating the Tent in Threed, you can find a jar of this stuff. Feed it to Belch right at the start of the fight. After a round or two, Belch will go nuts for the Honey and forget about attacking you. Keep battling him with your strongest attacks."
