Happy Box

Happy Boxes are items in Mother 3, sold and created by the Pig Army. They were advertised by Salsa under the control of Fassad. Happy Boxes are implied to be brainwashing devices, hypnotizing people to buy consumer goods from New Pork City and also leading to the modernization of Tazmily Village.

They were first introduced in Chapter 3, with Fassad advertising them and Salsa selling three of the intial Happy Boxes to villagers. Three years later in Chapter 4, it is shown that nearly everyone in the village owns a Happy Box, excluding a select few. People are often threatened with lightning destroying their houses if they do not decide to obtain a Happy Box.
