The Game Boy Advance was Nintendo's fourth handheld console, following the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game & Watch. Two Mother games (Mother 1+2 and Mother 3) were released for it, both only released in Japan. The Game Boy Advance featured smaller cartridges than that of the older Game Boys, and was able to play the games of its predecessor on it.
